Job Description

Furniture Product Merchandiser/Buyer plays a pivotal role in shaping product ranges and strategy for the local market. As part of a global furniture leader, you will have the autonomy to influence local product offerings while collaborating with international teams.

Responsibilities:
  • Select, source, and manage furniture product ranges tailored to the ANZ market.
  • Provide product, pricing, and market insights/feedbacks to the HQ team.
  • Conduct market survey/research and analyze consumer behavior, demographics, and competitors' activities.
  • Develop product and pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
  • Monitor industry trends and identify opportunities for new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams on product launches, promotions, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Act as the key liaison between HQ and the ANZ business for overall product and assortment decisions.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Buyer or Product Merchandiser in the furniture, home, or retail industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ANZ consumer trends and market dynamics.
  • Expertise in product selection, pricing, and SKU management.
  • Commercially minded with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Computing and technology knowhow.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and preferably SAP, DOMO, and other Business Intelligence tools.
