About the Role


RACQ is seeking a skilled Fleet Vehicle Technician to join our team at our Eight Mile Plains location. As a key member of our fleet maintenance program, you will be responsible for servicing and repairing RACQ’s fleet vehicles, including passenger vehicles, light, medium, and heavy-duty commercial vehicles.


Key Responsibilities



  • Service and repair fleet and staff vehicles in accordance with RACQ’s fleet maintenance program
  • Undertake fit-out and pre-delivery work on new vehicles, including auto-electrical and electronic installations
  • Install and maintain computer and telecommunications equipment
  • Maintain and repair workshop equipment as required
  • Compile and maintain service records and invoicing

About You



  • Qualified Automotive Professional: Relevant qualifications in motor mechanics or related trade (auto electrical or diesel mechanics preferred)
  • Heavy Vehicle Experience: Beneficial but not essential
  • Licensing: Current C Class driver’s license required; MR/HR licenses highly regarded
  • Diagnostic and Repair Skills: Proficient in diagnosing and repairing various automotive faults
  • High Standards and Safety: Perform tasks to high standards with a focus on safety and timeliness
  • Time Management: Strong time management skills
  • Pre-Employment Checks: Able to complete medical, drug & alcohol screening, and criminal record check
  • Work Hours: On-site, Monday to Friday, 8 am – 4 pm at Eight Mile Plains
