Project Communications Officer Role Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the communications team in a major infrastructure and capital redevelopment project. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing communication strategies that ensure stakeholders remain informed and engaged throughout the project.


About the Position

The role involves assisting with the development of communication plans, managing stakeholder engagement, and providing media relations support. The ideal candidate will have strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills, as well as the ability to translate technical information into clear and engaging content.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing communication strategies to engage stakeholders
  • Assisting with the development of communication plans and materials
  • Managing stakeholder relationships and engagement
  • Providing media relations support and responding to media inquiries

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Tertiary qualifications in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, or public relations, preferably in a similar setting
  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Understanding of media relations and crisis communication strategies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
