Salary
We offer a competitive salary package, with an estimated annual salary of AU$120,000 for this role, as well as access to our employee share plan and salary continuance insurance.
Job Description
This exciting opportunity is part of our Energy and Sustainability Services division, located in Melbourne CBD. As an Energy Procurement Expert, you will play a vital role in supporting our clients in Australia and New Zealand to achieve their decarbonisation targets.
Your primary responsibilities will include running RFPs for electricity and gas supply contracts, performing complex financial analysis, developing energy procurement strategies, and training others. You will also engage with clients to discuss analysis results and recommendations, build on existing energy market knowledge, and negotiate optimal energy contract terms and price outcomes.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Business, Commerce, Supply Chain Management, Energy, or Economics are required.
- Advanced MS-Excel skills are essential, with the ability to identify, analyse, and comprehend information from numerous sources, including working with large data sets.
- Demonstrable analytical ability with a sharp eye for numerical detail is crucial, as is the ability to understand and discuss potential financial outcomes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer-focused, and good stakeholder management skills are necessary.
- Computer programming skills, such as Python, SQL, R, Matlab, Qlik, are highly regarded but not mandatory.
