Community Protection Specialist

The Community Protection Specialist is a vital role in maintaining a safe and well-regulated environment. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to enforce regulatory functions effectively.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all statutory obligations are met while interacting with the public and enforcing local laws.
  • Regular inspections and investigations will be conducted to identify potential breaches of legislation and local laws.
  • Documentation will be prepared for court proceedings and parking regulations enforced to maintain optimal vehicle flow.
  • Collaboration with local animal welfare organizations will occur to rehouse or destroy impounded animals.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A Certificate IV in Local Government (Statutory Compliance) and/or Certificate IV in Animal Management is highly regarded. Previous experience in law enforcement and animal management is also desirable.
