Software Development Engineer

We are seeking a talented graduate to join our dynamic team developing software for data management at the Science and Technology Facilities Council. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to the development of software tools that enable our users to run experiments, acquire data, and display results.
Key Responsibilities- Develop back-end services, front-end tools, and an interactive computing platform using Python and other technologies.
- Collaborate with experienced colleagues to design and implement software solutions.
- Learn and apply continuous integration techniques to improve code quality and automate deployment to on-premises servers.
- Contribute to the development of software that meets the needs of our users and supports their research.
- Achieved or on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field of study.
- Experience of developing in Python and using version control (e.g. Git).
- Knowledge of techniques for software testing and ability to communicate effectively.
- Passion for solving problems using engineering practices and willingness to develop skills.
