Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Aquatic Operations Supervisor to join our team at Glen Eira City Council. This role is responsible for assisting the Lifeguard Team Leader in the leadership of operations, focusing on providing excellent supervision and service to our members and guests.

About the Role
  • Assist the Lifeguard Team Leader in maintaining Service Improvement Plan scores for areas under direct supervision.
  • Perform administrative tasks related to Safety and Supervision as required.
  • Manage and develop staff rosters to ensure safe facility coverage.
  • Authorise shifts and approve timesheets.
  • Support training and development of the Lifeguard team.
  • Respond to customer feedback in a timely manner and ensure compliance with feedback processes.
  • Ensure staff are trained on chemical handling and OH&S procedures.
  • Assist with hazard and risk assessments and maintain a register to identify potential issues.
  • Complete direct service roles.
  • Support the Lifeguard Team Leader in maintaining accurate records for OH&S risk assessments, water quality, accidents, and incidents.
  • Prepare progress reports on key performance indicators for the business unit.
Requirements
  • Experience leading and managing a team.
  • First Aid and CPR Certificate.
  • Pools Lifeguard Qualification.
  • Employee Working with Children Check.
  • First Aid Management of Anaphylaxis and Asthma Risks qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
