About the Role

The GEL Swim School Assistant Team Leader will assist in overseeing the GEL Swim School, working closely with the Swim School Team Leader to manage the GEL Swim Supervisor, GEL Swim Shift Supervisors, GEL Customer Experience Officers, and GEL Swim Instructors.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, aquatic experience, and the ability to maintain safety standards in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Assist in training, supervising, and providing leadership to the GEL Swim School team as per centre policies and industry guidelines.
  • Roster Management: Assist in organising and maintaining the GEL Swim School roster, ensuring efficient and adequate staff coverage at GESAC and CMSP.
  • Service Standards: Collaborate with the GEL Swim School Team Leader to maintain Service Improvement Standards in daily operations.
  • Customer Service: Act as a liaison on pool deck, providing customer service to Swim School members and parents.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience and achievement in the leisure industry and/or relevant tertiary qualifications.
  • Comprehensive customer service experience.
  • Provide First Aid with current CPR qualification.
  • Employee Working with Children Check.
  • Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety Certificate.
  • Teacher of Swimming extension courses (Desirable).
