About the Role

At Glen Eira City Council, we're seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Centre Supervisor. As a Centre Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our aquatic facilities, providing exceptional customer service, and leading a team of staff to achieve high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and supervision to staff, ensuring a positive and safe experience for customers.
  • Ensure the maintenance of Service Improvement Program standards across the facility.
  • Act as the Chief Warden in emergency situations, coordinating the evacuation of patrons, staff, and contractors.
  • Monitor staffing levels and adjust as needed to meet facility demand and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist frontline teams during busy periods and conduct plant management tasks, including water testing and dosing.
  • Be responsible for cash management and reconciliation duties.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated commitment to organisational values and behaviours.
  • Considerable customer service experience.
  • Strong dispute resolution experience.
  • Familiarity with the recreation industry programs and services would be well regarded.
  • Previous experience in managing a complex roster and staff team is highly desirable.
  • Current CPR, First Aid, Pool Lifeguard, Anaphylaxis and Asthma certificates (or willing to obtain).
  • Current Pool Operators Certificate (or willing to obtain).
