Director of Nursing and Midwifery Leadership

We are seeking an exceptional Director of Nursing and Midwifery to lead our largest clinical workforce and drive strategic and operational initiatives to enhance patient care. As a key member of our executive team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical governance and safety, and overseeing the professional development of nursing and midwifery staff.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and manage our largest clinical workforce, driving strategic and operational initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Ensure the highest standards of clinical governance and safety, and oversee the professional development of nursing and midwifery staff.
- Collaborate with other senior leaders to implement innovative healthcare solutions, improving patient outcomes and overall hospital performance.
- Manage clinical change, mitigate risks, and address workforce challenges in our hospital's redevelopment.
- Current NSW Nurse Registration Board "Authority to Practice" List A (without conditions) with sound knowledge of clinical practice consistent with the values, ethics, vision, mission of NSLHD, its delivery and models of care.
- Appropriate tertiary management qualifications, equivalent relevant experience or a combination of study and experience.
- Proven ability to function as part of an executive team, working successfully with other professionals and disciplines in the management of health care services.
- Evidence of effective financial and workforce management within a complex health care environment.
- Demonstrated broad understanding of NSW Health's Strategic Directions, the Australian and NSW health systems, Quality and Safety Framework and the Nursing and Midwifery agenda.
