About You :

  • You will be undertaking or have completed a graduate degree in Marine Biology or a related field
  • Alternatively, you possess relevant experience in the Marine Aquaria or Zoo industry

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Ecosystem Manager to oversee the maintenance of our Aquariums' life support systems, coral propagation, and Marine ornamental fish systems. This role involves conducting regular tests and staying up-to-date with best practices to ensure our systems operate at optimal levels. As part of the team, you will also provide guidance on animal care and feeding to our staff.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Maintain a high level of working knowledge of government regulations and laws related to exhibiting animals in QLD and Australia
  • Familiarity with health and safety protocols when working with Aquariums
  • Ability to work weekends and public holidays as required

Job Functions :

  • Create and deliver engaging educational presentations to the public
  • Oversee the Husbandry and feeding of Marine Aquariums and Sea Turtle
  • Maintain Aquarium life support systems, coral propagation, and Marine ornamental fish systems
  • Other duties as assigned by management
  • Supervise Volunteer programs
