About the role

The Head of Strategy, Planning & Operations within the Rewards Business Unit is a critical leadership position, akin to a Chief Operating Officer. This role is responsible for formulating business strategies and supervising the establishment and operational aspects of the unit. Key areas of focus include legal, finance, procurement, human resources, recruitment, and customer support.

You will:
- Lead the development and implementation of the overall loyalty program strategy (including program economic model), establishing buy in from and influencing key stakeholders-
- Lead the development of the operational strategy and execution across the key functional areas.-
- Act as the link between the Rewards strategic direction and Transurban - align the Rewards program with Transurban’s internal business/commercial priorities.-
- Proactively identify challenges in day-to-day operations and implement solutions to drive efficiency.-
- Lead the strategic (3-5 years), annual and monthly budgeting, planning, accounting and reporting activities for the Rewards program.-
- Establish and manage loyalty points and partnership accounting-
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and technology, to ensure alignment of strategies and operations.This is an exciting opportunity for a leader with an entrepreneurial spirit to lead the Rewards strategy and business operations as the unit scales and requires:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Marketing, Operations Management, or a related field.-
- Strong understanding of project management principles and tools.-
- Knowledge of operational best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.-
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in strategy, planning, and operations (HR, finance procurement), with at least 3 years in a senior management role.-
- Expertise in financial modelling and strong PowerPoint skills.-
- Experience working with managing vendor relationships.-
- An entrepreneurial spirit: bias to action, can take initiative with a strong ownership mindset.-
- The ability to learn quickly and be comfortable with ambiguity.-
- Demonstrated ability to balance different projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.-
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills; ability to capture, analyse and report on operating metrics.You will receive great benefits, including:
