Job Overview

As a senior technical professional, you will lead engineering assessments of development applications within the designated area.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert technical advice and guidance to stakeholders
  • Applying sound judgement in accordance with relevant legislation and regulations for additional information requests
  • Conducting comprehensive technical assessments of complex development applications, including large subdivisions, material changes of use, operational works, and compliance assessments
  • Maintaining quality control over technical processes and post-development activities, including offset application assessments
  • Collaborating with engineers, planners, and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Guiding and mentoring junior team members on technical matters
  • Reviewing assessment processes for continuous improvement opportunities

The successful candidate will have a degree in civil engineering or a related field, a valid Queensland driver's license, and excellent communication skills. We value teamwork, integrity, efficiency, leadership, and open communication.
