Job Details:
Duration: 3 hours, Weekly.
Location: Fenwick Street, VIC (full street address to be confirmed).
Service: Respite Care for Phuoc who has dementia and would like a male Vietnamese speaking carer with experience in dementia care. The ideal candidate should speak Vietnamese fluently.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be required to support Phuoc with his daily activities including showering and going upstairs. They will also need to help Phuoc with his behaviors such as spitting mucus from his mouth and nose and clapping incessantly.
Key Requirements:
- Valid ID Required
- Valid Police check taken within the past 12 months
- Language: Vietnamese
- Additional Qualification: Dementia Care
What to Expect:
Working with clients who have dementia requires patience, understanding, and empathy. You will work closely with Phuoc's daughter Stephanie and her family to provide consistency and continuity of care.
