Job Opportunity:

Experienced Behaviour Support Specialist

At Everyday Independence, we are seeking an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team.

As a Behaviour Support Practitioner, you will be responsible for providing life-changing therapy to NDIS participants and working in diverse settings. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Utilizing assessment and intervention skills to support participants in achieving their goals and maximizing NDIS funding.
  • Building meaningful relationships with participants and their supports (family, carers, friends).
  • Developing and implementing Behaviour Support Plans with function-based strategies using the positive behaviour support framework.
  • Conducting Functional Behaviour Assessments (FBA).

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (Bachelor, Masters, or Graduate Diploma) and relevant registration (e.g. Occupational Therapist, Speech Pathologist, Social Worker, Mental Health Nurse, or Psychology-related field).
  • At least 12 months of experience as a Behaviour Support Practitioner.
  • Strong communication skills and a commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • A valid Australian driver's license and Working with Children's Check.
