Positive Behaviour Support Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Positive Behaviour Support specialist to join our team. As a Positive Behaviour Support specialist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing behaviour support plans for individuals with complex needs.
The successful candidate will have a background in psychology, occupational therapy or special education, and experience in providing Positive Behaviour Support services. They will be highly skilled in understanding the needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability or other complex diagnoses.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Developing and implementing behaviour support plans that are tailored to the individual's needs
- Providing training and support to staff on behaviour support strategies
- Participating in research to improve the evidence base for behaviour support practices
The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for working with individuals with complex needs and a commitment to delivering high-quality, client-centred services.
Requirements:
- Background in psychology, occupational therapy or special education
- Experience in providing Positive Behaviour Support services
- Highly skilled in understanding the needs of individuals with autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability or other complex diagnoses
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
