The Role

You will share responsibility for the development of the Catholic life of the school, leadership of its vision, mission, and strategic priorities, and contribution to the management of the school.

The Religious Education Coordinator has delegated responsibility for the coordination and supervision of teaching and learning in Religious Education and the religious dimension of the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise teaching and learning in Religious Education
  • Develop and implement curriculum for Religious Education
  • Liaise with priests and parish communities to support Catholic identity and mission
  • Lead liturgies and celebrations
  • Analyse and use data to inform learning and engage in future planning
  • Work collaboratively across all stages and adapt to a 'shared-leadership' model
Requirements
  • A committed Catholic who understands the evangelising mission of Catholic schools
  • A leader of Catholic identity and mission at a school and/or system level
  • Demonstrated commitment to working closely with priests and parish communities
  • Completed, or evidence of study toward, a Graduate Diploma or Master of Religious Education, Theology, or Theological Studies from an approved institution
  • Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead or agreement to meet these requirements in your first contract term
  • Standard descriptors at lead teacher level, in accordance with the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers
Salary

$92,990 - $118,095 per annum + superannuation, salary packaging benefits of up to $15,900 annually, and attractive remuneration package.
