Data Center Operations Specialist

As a Data Center Operations Trainee, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of an Amazon data center.
You will assist with the management of contractors, sub-contractors and vendors, ensuring all work performed adheres to established practices, procedures and local legislation.
- Maintain performance benchmarks, conduct analyses and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets as directed.
- Contribute to documentation relevant to business and facility operations.
- Assist with the installation of racks and provision of power/cooling within constraints.
- Participate in routine maintenance and emergency services for critical systems such as switchgear, generators, UPS systems, power distribution equipment, chillers, cooling towers, computer room air handlers and building monitoring systems.
This is a fixed-term hire with potential to become a full-time role.
The ideal candidate will possess a facilities management mindset, ability to prioritize in complex fast-paced environments and physical security protocol awareness. Computer literacy and proficiency in Office Suite are also essential.
A degree or technical certification and relevant experience are preferred. Experience in Data Center Engineering/Operations and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or relevant discipline are highly valued.
