Data Center Operations Specialist Role
">As a Data Center Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for staging, setting up and performing hardware deployments with minimal disruption to services. This will involve troubleshooting and diagnostics on equipment as well as decommissioning hardware for simple changes and refreshes following established procedures.
This role will enable you to deepen your understanding of data center standard processes and procedures, develop mentoring skills while guiding peers, familiarize yourself with security and data management protocols, and accelerate your career growth in the process.

Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting of equipment following standard procedures to quickly identify and resolve issues with minimal customer disruption.
- Perform post-execution quality checks to verify grounding, staging, labeling and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols and deployment standards.
- Decommission hardware for simple changes and refreshes (e.g., memory upgrades, rebuilds) following standard procedures with minimal guidance.
- Communicate, report and escalate incidents to appropriate management units, technician leads and engineering specialists.
- Assist and provide guidance to other technicians to complete challenging or complex tasks.
- Participate in required training aligned to the role and workload; observe more experienced technicians to gain hands-on experience and relevant on-the-job training.
- Contribute to a positive team environment by sharing information with others, contributing to regular team meetings, asking questions and staying apprised of the status of others' work.
- Pride and accountability for service quality, completeness and resulting user experience; displays accountability and ownership of data center facilities.

Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware and components.
- 1+ year(s) experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
Background Check Requirements:
- Able to meet background check requirements which include Microsoft Cloud Background Check, Citizenship Verification, NV1/2 and PV Clearance Assessment.
