About the role

This opportunity is perfect for someone with a background in construction and a genuine passion for mental health. As a Construction Ambassador, you will be working closely with sites across Brisbane and surrounding areas to deliver suicide prevention and mental health awareness programs to the construction workforce.

You will create space for real conversations and provide pathways for workers to access help when they need it most through training, site visits, and one-on-one support.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Establish relationships with new and existing sites, providing tailored information about the program
  • Coordinate and schedule site visits and training sessions across South East Queensland
  • Provide direct support to construction workers doing it tough, connecting them with relevant services and resources
  • Encourage sites to become active and grow in their involvement with the program
  • Keep accurate records and contribute to reporting and data collection
  • Assist with broader community engagement activities to grow the reach and impact of the program
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A strong ability to relate to people who work in construction
  • A genuine interest in mental health, suicide prevention, and making a difference
  • Excellent people and communication skills - you are easily approachable, a good listener, and confident presenting to groups
  • A collaborative, team-first mindset, but also able to work independently and manage your time
  • Flexibility in your work and ability to adapt to changing situations
  • A values-aligned, proactive attitude
