Medical Disputes Specialist Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Disputes Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in managing medical disputes, including identifying and evaluating individual and organisational development needs, delivering individual and group learning and development programs, expanding and honing the company's medical disputes capability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and evaluate individual and organisational development needs.
  • Deliver individual and group learning and development programs.
  • Expand and hone the company's medical disputes capability.
  • Manage key stakeholder expectations and allocate appropriate resources to ensure effective outcomes.
  • Negotiate terms with external providers and ensure high quality service delivery.
Requirements:
  • More than 5+ years demonstrated experience in a similar CTP Medical Disputes or Injury Management Specialists role.
  • Sound medical knowledge, preferably with a background in medical science, physiotherapy, chiropractic, allied health, rehabilitation or similar.
  • Training and experience in assessing WPI in accordance with AMA 4 and the Psychiatric Impairment Rating Scale (PIRS).
  • Experience managing internal and external (PIC) medical disputes, including drafting applications, replies and submissions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
