Job Title: Senior Family Services Practitioner Allocations Coordinator

Are you a passionate and dedicated professional seeking a challenging role in family services? Do you have a strong background in case management, social work, or psychology? We are seeking an experienced Senior Family Services Practitioner to join our team as an Allocations Coordinator.

Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated individual to coordinate all aspects of referral, entry, engagement, and allocation of cases from Child FIRST/The Orange Door. As a Senior Family Services Practitioner, you will be responsible for undertaking risk and needs assessments, delivering short-term case management, and providing an active holding function to children and families who are referred to the Family Services Program.

  • Work collaboratively with Child Protection to support families to enhance parenting capacity, family functioning, and promote child safety.
  • Develop innovative approaches to working with families, children, and young people, and mentor the team in implementing these approaches.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or related discipline.
  • Current driver's license valid in Victoria.
  • Demonstrated experience in the community services sector in a case management role.
  • Demonstrated experience in the child and family welfare field, including Child Protection, Out-of-Home Care, Family Services, and/or other services working with vulnerable families and children.
  • Experience working with young people who have experienced abuse and trauma.
