Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Transportation Operations Manager to join our team at Oliver Wyman, a global leader in management consulting. With offices in over 70 cities across 30 countries, we offer a unique opportunity to work with clients from diverse industries and backgrounds.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the execution of individual project modules, developing hypotheses, managing data collection, model creation, and analysis. You will also support our Partner group in project delivery through accurate and high-quality case execution.

As a Strategic Transportation Operations Manager, you will own and develop executive client relationships, present to a wide range of audiences, and work day-to-day with clients and other stakeholders. You will report to Engagement Managers and Principals, effectively seeking guidance on technical and senior-level steer to projects.

Requirements
  • 4-6 years of experience in strategy consulting and/or transportation & services industry experience
  • Strong background in conceptual problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Expertise in one or more of the following areas: Supply Risk Management, Supply Chain Operations, Supply Chain Planning, Digital Manufacturing, Operations Strategy, Shop Floor Operations, Product Redesign, Process Optimisation
  • Operations/Supply Chain/Shop Floor Operations experience in Aviation, Aerospace, Rail, and Transportation industries
  • Experience in network design and logistics preferred
  • Track record of leading and managing teams and delivering against tight deadlines in fast-paced and demanding environments
  • Outstanding communication skills; confidence in presenting to senior executives
  • Undergraduate or advanced degree from a top academic program
