We are seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as an Educational Leader at BROOME OUT OF SCHOOL CARE CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES (BOSCCA).

About the Opportunity

This full-time role offers a unique chance to develop and implement high-quality educational programs that support the learning and development of children aged 5-12.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of play-based learning programs based on the My Time Our Place Framework
  • Mentor educators in best practices to ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework
  • Build strong relationships with children, families, and educators to create a supportive environment
  • Ensure all educational programs meet compliance standards and reflect the values of the service
  • Develop and review the Quality Improvement Plan in collaboration with the OSHC Coordinator
  • Promote continuous improvement in educational practices
  • Uphold child safety, promote inclusion, and adhere to all relevant legal frameworks and policies
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent), along with at least 3 years of leadership experience in school-aged care services.

A valid Working with Children Check, Child Protection Training, and current First Aid certification are also essential.

Additional skills and background that will be highly valued include:

  • Degree in Early Childhood from a recognised University
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the My Time Our Place Framework
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience
  • Strong understanding of the National Quality Framework and child protection legislation
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and reflective practice
Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $32-$34 per hour, depending on skills and experience, plus superannuation. Additional benefits include:
