Eden Ritchie Recruitment is on the lookout for a skilled Project Manager to become part of a local government ICT Portfolio Management Office (PMO). Your role will involve overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of projects, ensuring that outcomes are met through effective practices and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate, update, and communicate project timelines for assigned initiatives, guided by best practices and agile methodologies, including schedules, budgets, resources, risks, issues, benefits, and stakeholders.
  • Manage and monitor project finances, performing monthly forecasts and ensuring adherence to approved spending plans.
  • Assess, track, and report on project progress, including timelines, budgets, risks, and issues, to key stakeholders and governance bodies.
  • Foster stakeholder relationships and manage expectations to guarantee the successful delivery of ICT project results.
  • Prepare procurement documentation to ensure adherence to procurement regulations.
  • Oversee vendor and contract management necessary for the successful execution of assigned projects.
  • Establish and maintain positive relationships with team members and stakeholders, offering support and recognizing contributions.
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of existing team processes and program structures as needed.
  • Conduct strategic reviews and analyses of business cases to identify the optimal delivery approach, including resource needs, timelines, costs, and risk management.

Selection Criteria:

  • Proven experience in initiating and delivering projects based on best practices within a dynamic and complex public sector context.
  • Outstanding communication, engagement, and influencing abilities, with a capacity to remain composed in challenging situations.
  • Strategic thinking, research, and critical evaluation skills, along with a solid understanding of business case development and project management methodologies.
  • High proficiency in developing and managing project schedules, budgets, reports, and resource plans.
  • Familiarity with the systems delivery lifecycle and demonstrated experience in configuring, testing, and deploying applications and systems integration.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading multidisciplinary project teams from initiation to completion.
  • Strong capability in quickly understanding an organization’s culture, structure, systems, and processes.

Qualifications:

Possession of graduate or post-graduate qualifications in project management or equivalent substantial experience in the field.
