Senior Payroll Advisor

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Payroll Advisor to join our team. As a key member of our People & Culture department, this role involves delivering accurate and timely payroll services to our 5,000+ employees nationwide.

Key Responsibilities-
  • End-to-end payroll processing (weekly and monthly) for all employees using HR3 and Kronos
  • Interpreting Awards and Enterprise Agreements accurately, collaborating with the Payroll Manager and HR
  • Investigating and resolving payroll-related employee inquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Preparing and distributing ad hoc reports with precision and efficiency
  • Assisting with end-of-month processing, including reports and distribution
  • Maintaining and updating employee master file data in the payroll system
  • Handling external inquiries (e.g., Centrelink, auditors)
  • Managing leave calculations (parental leave, long service leave, etc.)
Requirements-
  • Proven experience in a senior payroll position, preferably in a large, multi-site organization, managing payroll for substantial workforces (5,000+)
  • Strong understanding of Fair Work compliance, award interpretation, enterprise agreements, and payroll legislation
  • Excellent attention to detail and high-level proficiency in Excel
  • Experience with HR3 and Kronos (desired but not essential)
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and strong stakeholder communication skills
