Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Chief Payroll Specialist to support the Payroll Manager during the fortnightly pay period with general enquiries, termination calculations, correction calculations, and payroll processing to ensure accuracy.

This is a challenging role that requires strong skills in Excel and ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Payroll Manager with general enquiries, termination calculations, correction calculations, and payroll processing.
  • Support end of financial year processes.
  • Provide feedback on payroll system and HRIS best practices.
  • Oversee system configurations.
  • Support Big 4 consultancy with time & attendance data extraction, interpretation, and validation.
  • Interpreting Awards and applying to data under review.
  • Liaising with current and former employees around remediation activities.
  • Processing remediation payments.
Competencies

The ideal candidate will have strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, and strong skills in Excel.
