Quality Assurance Specialist

  • Investigate non-conformances and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Review laboratory test results and collaborate with the laboratory team to optimize processes.
  • Manage the paper mill's quality management system, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes.
  • Liaise with sales and customers to provide technical support and recommendations for product improvements.
  • Manage paper complaints and claims, conducting investigations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide customers and sales teams with technical support, including product compliance data and sample requests.

  • A tertiary qualification in Applied Science or a related field is essential.
  • Experience working in a Quality Coordinator/Assurance role in paper or board making is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in MS Excel and data analysis software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of AS4801 and ISO9001 standards, with experience maintaining NCR databases and conducting CAR investigations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Commitment to safety and continuous improvement, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
