Lead Infection Management Specialist
The role of the Clinical Nurse Consultant is pivotal in the fight against infection. They spearhead the utilisation of contemporary practice, driving infection management forward throughout the organisation.
This involves strategically developing and refining the infection management program, providing visionary nursing leadership within multidisciplinary teams, and guiding the achievement of Mater's infection management health service objectives.
For success in this position, you will require current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), a Bachelor of Nursing or Midwifery qualification, and an Infection Management certification. Additionally, you must possess at least five years' experience in Infection Management or a closely related field, along with demonstrated proficiency in hospital and Infection Management information systems.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced knowledge, skills, attributes, and abilities related to infection management, including surveillance, investigation, and management of staff and patient exposures to infectious diseases. They will also be skilled in Microsoft Office and exhibit highly developed oral and written communication skills.
