About the Role

This position plays a vital role in the Flow Improvement Services Medicine team, working collaboratively with General Medicine teams at Ipswich Hospital to enhance patient flow and care.

Flow Improvement Services Medicine is a new multidisciplinary service designed to provide comprehensive, quality, patient-centred care, ensuring efficient patient movement throughout their hospital stay and facilitating timely, well-coordinated discharges.

Purpose of the Role

The primary objective of this role is to deliver advanced Physiotherapy / Occupational Therapy clinical services and leadership within Flow Improvement Services Medicine across the multidisciplinary team within the Division of Medicine.

This role serves as a reference point for others across West Moreton Health, promoting effective collaboration and communication.

About You
  • You will possess specialist-level knowledge and skills in acute inpatient services, focusing on one or more areas of clinical practice in your relevant discipline.
  • You must be able to communicate effectively within a team environment and senior management, influencing clinical or service outcomes.
  • You will independently manage complex clinical caseloads, requiring strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • You will lead quality and service improvement activities, resulting in improved patient and organisational outcomes.
