Project Logistics Manager Job Summary

The role of Project Logistics Manager is a pivotal one, requiring the ability to oversee complex logistics operations across multiple sites. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of project cargo movements.

This position involves leading field execution teams, managing resources, and overseeing the allocation of subcontractors. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for operational risks, safety concerns, and service delays. Your strong understanding of WHS regulations, Chain of Responsibility, and relevant Australian logistics laws will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning and execution of logistics operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and mentor field staff, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Coordinate with commercial and BD teams to design solutions, assess feasibility, and plan methodologies.
  • Oversee milestone tracking, job file closure, and reporting through the freight management system.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and project-level KPIs across safety, delivery, and financial metrics.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Proven experience in project logistics execution, including port/site operations.
  • Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing field or operational teams.
  • Familiarity with CargoWise, SAP, or similar systems (desired).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
