This senior role is a critical part of our project delivery company’s commitment to sustainable energy.
As a Senior Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Advisor, you will be instrumental in ensuring the well-being of personnel on our Woodman Point Project site.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert guidance to construction management teams to ensure compliance with statutory, Company, and client HSE requirements.
- Develop and implement Health & Safety plans and subsidiary systems documentation.
- Maintain clear communication of HSE issues/standards among employees to guarantee a comprehensive understanding of HSSE expectations.
- Coach/mentor colleagues to minimize risk to acceptable levels.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and maintain the Area HSE Activity Schedule.
- Coordinate implementation of the HSE Activity Schedule and initiatives, including:
- HSSE Compliance Audits to ASNZS 4801; ISO 14001; OHSAS 18001 standards.
- Workplace Inspections.
- Emergency Drills and Exercises.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working in the Construction Industry in a similar capacity.
- Prior experience working on large-scale construction projects or other relevant projects.
- Familiarity with applicable HSE Acts, Regulations, Australian Standards, and Codes of Practice.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with an ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
- Expertise in conducting audits and risk assessments.
- Proven ability to establish effective working relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Holding formal HS Qualifications (e.g., Certificate IV Workplace Health & Safety).
