About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Community Safety & Regulation team as a Parking Services Officer. In this role, you will play a key part in facilitating community compliance with state legislation relating to parking and local laws.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively facilitate community compliance with all relevant legislation, acts, local laws, regulations, and policies associated with the department's functions.
  • Prepare and issue penalty notices and other necessary regulatory documentation.
  • Liaise with the community at all levels in relation to complaints, enquiries, tourist information, and statutory requirements.
  • Investigate and follow up enquiries in relation to offences that occur against relevant local laws, acts, and regulations, and implement the necessary remedial action.
  • Conduct minor repairs, maintenance, and servicing of parking meters and associated equipment in a proactive and responsive manner to ensure their effective operation.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require previous experience in a customer service role, a high level of resilience, and the ability to interact with a range of different people. We require someone who is engaging, friendly, and confident in their abilities, as well as being able to problem-solve and think on their feet.

The role will require you to walk for extended periods, therefore requiring a level of physical fitness. Previous experience in a similar regulatory role will be highly regarded.
