Job Summary

Peter Mac is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Occupational Therapist Grade 1 to join our Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Exercise Physiology and Podiatry Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and education to cancer patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver acute inpatient and outpatient management and treatment for Peter Mac patients
  • Provide an excellent standard of patient care within the specialist area of oncology
  • Discharge planning, goal setting and development of continuing care plans
  • Execution and evaluation of treatment and recording of interventions
  • Assist with facilitating and implementing departmental priorities of professional development, research and quality activities
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Therapy (Bachelor, Masters or equivalent)
  • Current AHPRA Occupational Therapy registration
  • Demonstrated interest in acute cancer care
  • Excellent written communication skills including computer literacy
  • Advanced level of interpersonal and conflict management skills
  • Demonstrated organisational, time management, planning and priority setting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development, continued education and evidence-based practice
  • Reliable, flexible and conscientious approach to patient management and workplace issues
  • Valid Victorian driver's license
  • Meet the standards in the Code of Conduct of OT Australia
