As a key player in our Home Buying division, you will be responsible for driving the day-to-day operations and supporting strategic initiatives on our High LVR offers. This is a permanent, full-time opportunity where you will play a vital role in building the future bank for all Australians.

The Home Buying team manages end-to-end the CommBank's Home Loan business, including distribution through proprietary and third-party channels, customer experience, risk, product, and continuous improvement.

Within Home Buying, the High LVR Offers team has responsibility for Home Buying's Lenders Mortgage Insurance and Low Deposit Premium products as well as their transformation and strategy.

You will report to the Chapter Lead, Speciality Product and Platforms. As an Assistant Product Manager, you will focus on managing our High LVR product portfolio in line with policy, compliance, risk, pricing, and procedure requirements, while prioritizing customer obsession that enables us to simplify our offering.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with the squad team to define, prioritize, and manage the product development backlog to deliver on the squad's vision, goals, and roadmap
  • Collaborating with members of the squad and stakeholders to find solutions to valuable problems and deliver maximum value
  • Capturing business and technical requirements and facilitating relationships between business and technology teams to ensure accurate and appropriate strategic decisions
  • Supporting squad members in project activities, demonstrating agility and flexibility to wear multiple hats (Business Analyst/Product Manager/Data Analyst/Customer/Risk)
  • Managing operational risk incidents and issues relating to the product and implementing controls where required
  • Actioning reports to meet contractual obligations with external suppliers
  • Updating collateral and change management
  • Monitoring and acting on competitor, regulatory, customer, and industry changes

Required skills and qualifications include:

  • Financial services experience in a high performing environment within Retail Banking, Product, Credit Risk, or Finance
  • Home Buying Product experience in the financial industry will be highly regarded, along with Business Analyst experience
  • Experience working in an agile environment and collaborating with others
  • Delivery and execution experience with ability to juggle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Basic data analysis skills and proficiency in Excel
  • Stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Strong planning and time management skills with ability to deal with competing priorities
  • Commercial acumen and professional judgement with ability to make recommendations and draw out insights
  • Risk Mindset - All employees are expected to proactively identify and understand, openly discuss and act on current and future risks
