About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Startup Account Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving revenue and user adoption, migrations, and ensuring new startups select AWS as their primary cloud provider.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a set of startups/scaleups customers, with a focus on ensuring customer success and driving revenue growth.
  • Develop and execute against a comprehensive account/territory plan, leveraging data to inform decision-making and prioritize efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business development, marketing, and solution architecture, to lead execution of coordinated go-to-market strategies and sales plays.
  • Work closely with business development teams to drive top-of-funnel customer acquisition and accelerate seller cycles in the field.
  • Develop and articulate compelling value propositions around AWS services, and accelerate customer adoption through well-developed sales engagements and successful GTM strategies.
  • Meet or exceed quarterly revenue and goal targets, while ensuring customer satisfaction and developing long-term strategic relationships with key accounts.
About the Team

AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers, including public sector.

Requirements
  • 5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience, or 5+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience.
  • Experience developing detailed go-to-market plans and territory plans, and ability to use data to make informed decisions on prioritization.
  • Experience using industry-standard sales tools, and a strong understanding of cloud computing and AWS services.
