Disability Care Specialist

This role involves providing exceptional care and support to individuals with disabilities, enhancing their quality of life through personalized services.

Lauren's Family is dedicated to delivering high-quality disability services. We are seeking a skilled Disability Care Specialist to join our team in supporting clients to live fulfilling and independent lives.

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
  • Provide mobility support, including transfers and positioning, using appropriate equipment.
  • Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
  • Support clients in participating in social and recreational activities.
  • Foster a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Document care provided and report any changes in clients' conditions to the relevant personnel.
  • Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.

Key Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in disability care or a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in disability care or willingness to obtain them.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping others.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
