We're seeking a seasoned laboratory professional to oversee the daily operations of our Canberra facility. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional leadership skills, a deep understanding of quality standards, and a proven track record of driving innovation.

The Role
  • This position involves managing day-to-day laboratory activities, ensuring seamless execution of production workflows, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
  • You will lead multiple teams across disciplines, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages growth and development.
  • Key responsibilities include delivering financial results, building strong relationships with clients, and driving business growth through strategic initiatives.
  • Driving innovation through automation, research and development, and new services, while maintaining accreditation and regulatory compliance.
  • Promoting a proactive safety culture across all laboratory activities and representing the organization at industry events.
The Essentials
  • A degree in Science (preferably Chemistry or Microbiology).
  • At least 10 years of laboratory experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
  • Strong business acumen, including financial management and reporting.
  • A collaborative leadership style that motivates and develops high-performing teams.
  • Deep understanding of laboratory quality standards and safety protocols.
  • Demonstrated success in driving continuous improvement and innovation.
