Key Laboratory Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced laboratory coordinator to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating laboratory activities, ensuring safety and compliance, and supporting research and development projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resource Management: Coordinate the ordering, receipt, and inventory management of laboratory supplies, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure all laboratory activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of laboratory supplies and equipment, assist in preparing reports on laboratory operations, and collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure proper documentation of experiments and results.
Protein Production Duties:
  • Perform protein expression using various expression systems, including E. coli and yeast.
  • Conduct downstream processing for proteins expressed from fermentation.
  • Maintain and optimize protocols for protein expression and downstream processing.
Instrumentation and Equipment:
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of equipment used in protein production.
  • Calibrate instruments to ensure accurate and reliable results.
Research and Development:
  • Assist in the development and optimization of protein production processes to improve process efficiency, consistency, and yield.
  • Participate in research projects, contributing to the design and execution of experiments.
Quality Control:
  • Prepare biological samples for QA/QC analysis, ensuring accurate measurements and proper handling.
  • Conduct tests to evaluate enzyme performance, including enzyme activity assays and protein quantification using methods such as colorimetric assays, SDS-PAGE, and HPLC.
