Job Summary:

The Assistant Director of Early Childhood Education is a senior leadership role that provides critical support to the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations and successful running of the Centre. This role is responsible for supporting the team in the development and delivery of high-quality education and care, and actively mentoring and developing the broader team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Centre Director in the day-to-day operations of the Centre
  • Develop and deliver high-quality education and care programs
  • Mentor and develop the broader team
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the team
  • Contribute to the development of Centre policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Children's Services or equivalent, or Early Childhood Teaching qualification
  • Current Senior First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma certificates
  • State relevant Working with Children Check, Blue Card, or Safety Screening
  • Current Child Protection Training
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with proven experience juggling a wide range of demands and priorities, and managing time effectively

Desirable Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience as an Assistant Director or Lead Educator
  • Knowledge and experience with Qikkids and Educa (or similar equivalent platforms)
  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and Facebook
