Quality and Education Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to fill the role of Quality and Education Manager in our aged care facility.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and guidance to the Clinical and Care team, fostering collaboration with residents, their representatives, and the team.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Supporting the Clinical Director and Clinical Management team in providing leadership and guidance to the Clinical and Care team.
  2. Delivering direct clinical training at the site level, ensuring staff understand their roles and scope of practice.
  3. Mentoring staff in learning and competency assessments to support the development of a skilled workforce.
  4. Assessing, planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating evidence-based clinical teaching and education programs.
  5. Providing coordination and support for transitional nurses to apply their learning in a clinical practice setting.
  6. Collaborating with management and multidisciplinary team members to create an effective adult learning environment.
  7. Actively participating in the Continuous Improvement process.

Requirements include:

  • Full-time Australian working rights.
  • Current AHPRA Registration.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable but not essential).
  • Minimum of 5 years clinical experience, with essential aged care experience.
