Job Title: Development Services Officer

We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team as a Development Services Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with requests related to water and sewer servicing of new land and property developments, monitoring trade waste and backflow requirements, and responding to build over enquiries.

About the Role
  • You will provide support in preparing responses to council and developers for development and subdivision referrals.
  • You will provide input into the review of water supply and sewerage designs, construction standards, standard drawings, specifications, and other relevant functions.
  • You will process water connections, sewer connections, roof water connections, and fire service connections.
  • You will respond to requests related to water and sewer servicing enquiries, private water and sewer agreements, build-over agreements, and other utility works.
Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  1. Preparing and providing responses to council and developer enquiries.
  2. Reviewing and providing input on water supply and sewerage designs, construction standards, and other relevant functions.
  3. Processing applications for water connections, sewer connections, roof water connections, and fire service connections.
  4. Providing information and advice to customers on water and sewer servicing enquiries.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • A background in technical, design, planning, or engineering.
  • Experience in the water industry or public sector.
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
