Job Overview

The Development Services Officer will provide critical support in preparing responses to council and developers for development and subdivision referrals, reviewing water supply and sewerage designs, construction standards, standard drawings, specifications, and other relevant functions. Additionally, they will process water connections, sewer connections, roof water connections, and fire service connections.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the review of water supply and sewerage designs, construction standards, standard drawings, specifications, and other relevant functions.
  • Process water connections, sewer connections, roof water connections, and fire service connections.
  • Respond to requests related to water and sewer servicing enquiries, private water and sewer agreements, build-over agreements, and other utility works.
Requirements:
  • Relevant experience in the water industry or public sector with demonstrated professional capabilities.
  • A background in technical/design/planning/engineering or construction is desirable but not essential.
  • The ability to work independently and manage competing priorities with confidence.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
