Job Overview

This role plays a vital part in the Victorian Government, focusing on improving outcomes for Koorie children and young people.

We are looking for a skilled professional to work with education and family service providers, key stakeholders, and the Koorie community to improve early years participation, student engagement and wellbeing, retention and achievement, and access to higher education and further training pathways.

The successful candidate will systemically work with departments and agencies to enhance outcomes for Koorie children and young people.

  • Develop project plans that clearly describe program/service objectives, actions required, and progress made.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with people at all levels, stakeholder groups, organisations, and communities.
  • Identify relevant referral agencies and support services to support educational success of Koorie children and young people.

Essential Skills:

  • Cultural Competence - Provides expert advice on establishing cultural inclusive learning environments and coordinating services to support re-engagement of at-risk Koorie children and young people.
  • Strategic Thinking - Develops solutions to problems based on facts and evidence.
  • Communication - Effectively conveys information in a clear and engaging way, recognising the diversity of audiences.
  • Collaboration - Works effectively in teams to achieve organisational goals.
  • Problem Solving - Remains calm and copes effectively in times of conflict or difficulty.
