Job Title:

Engineering Design Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of Engineers, Draftsmen and Manufacturing Specialists.
  • Oversee the design, development and delivery of high-quality engineering projects.
  • Ensure all engineering activities meet relevant Australian standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across design processes.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Sales and Quality teams to align design outcomes with business goals.
  • Manage resources and project priorities to achieve delivery targets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).
  • 10-15 years proven engineering application experience, ideally in heavy industrial sectors.
  • Advanced CAD skills - Solid Edge experience highly regarded.
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated leadership experience.
  • Strong background in engineering design and process optimisation.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and problem-solving.
