Senior System Developer

As a Senior System Developer, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and enhancing innovative business applications that support the administration of Queensland's Compulsory Third Party (CTP) insurance scheme. You will work in a small, dynamic in-house development team to collaborate with agile cross-functional teams and contribute to the efficiency, security, and effectiveness of key systems.

As a Senior System Developer, you will lead coding and software development activities, including technical system design, manual and automated testing, and code reviews, to deliver high-quality solutions.

  • Contribute to application development practices by documenting specifications, building in-house knowledge, and advising on system infrastructure and integrations.
  • Support project management and delivery processes, including security, compliance, audit, and risk management activities, while driving innovation and automation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Excellent knowledge of low-code technologies, Business Process Modelling, Oracle and SQL server databases, Java, Ruby/Python, Cucumber, Angular, .Net, integrations, APIs, Test Driven Development (TDD), and automated regression testing.
  • A strong track record of delivering timely and high-quality business solutions in a rapid development, test-and-learn environment.
  • A solid understanding of application development, design and coding principles, database management, and best practices for integration and infrastructure deployment.
