Job Details

This is a postdoctoral Research Associate / Senior Research Associate position in Theoretical Quantum Information with high-spin nuclei.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking an exceptional researcher to develop theoretical models and methods for quantum information processing in high-dimensional systems.
  • The successful candidate will contribute to the demonstration of fault-tolerant quantum operations and quantum error correction concepts.
  • They will inform and collaborate with the experimental group to guide future directions.
  • Responsibilities include publishing results and presenting at conferences; contributing to peer-reviewed publications.
  • Engagement in cross-disciplinary collaboration within the group is also essential.
Qualifications:Research Associate (Level A)
  • A PhD in quantum physics, quantum engineering, or a related area is required.
  • The ideal candidate should have demonstrated ability to develop original theory in quantum information processing and quantum error correction.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply quantum information theory to practical experimental platforms is also necessary.
  • Strong publication and conference presentation record relative to opportunity is essential.
  • Candidates should possess strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a diverse team.
  • Understanding of aims, policies, and health and safety requirements is also expected.
Senior Research Associate (Level B)
  • A PhD in Physics, Quantum Engineering, or a related area; postdoctoral experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop original theory in quantum information processing and quantum error correction is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply quantum information theory to practical experimental platforms is also necessary.
  • Experience in developing research directions in quantum information theory and supervising students is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision and to lead writing of peer-reviewed publications is essential.
  • Candidates should possess strong interpersonal and collaborative skills; ability to supervise honours and postgraduate research students.
  • Understanding of aims, policies, and health and safety requirements is also expected.
Requirements:

A strong background in quantum physics, quantum engineering, or a related area is required. Experience in developing original theory in quantum information processing and quantum error correction is highly desirable.
