Role Overview

We invite applications for a Research Associate/Senior Research Associate position in Theoretical Quantum Information with high-spin nuclei. Our team is developing quantum computing hardware based on the spin of implanted donors, integrated within silicon nanoelectronic devices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop theoretical models and methods for quantum information processing in high-dimensional systems.
  • Contribute to demonstrating fault-tolerant quantum operations and quantum error correction concepts.
  • Inform and collaborate with the experimental group to guide future directions.
  • Publish results and present at conferences; contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
QualificationsResearch Associate (Level A)
  • PhD (or soon to be awarded) in quantum physics, quantum engineering, or related area.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop original theory in quantum information processing and quantum error correction.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply quantum information theory to practical experimental platforms.
  • Ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision.
  • Strong publication and conference presentation record relative to opportunity.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a diverse team.
Senior Research Associate (Level B)
  • PhD in Physics, Quantum Engineering, or related area; postdoctoral experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop original theory in quantum information processing and quantum error correction.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply quantum information theory to practical experimental platforms.
  • Experience in developing research directions in quantum information theory and supervising students.
  • Proven ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision and to lead writing of peer-reviewed publications.
