We are seeking a highly skilled researcher to join our team and contribute to the development of quantum computing technology.
About the Role:The role is focused on theoretical quantum information processing with high-spin nuclei in silicon, emphasizing fault-tolerant quantum operations, quantum error correction, and scalability beyond one atom. As a theory-focused position, you will develop new models and methods for quantum information processing in high-dimensional systems and inform future directions for experimental efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop theoretical models and methods for quantum information processing in high-dimensional systems.
- Contribute to the demonstration of fault-tolerant quantum operations and quantum error correction concepts.
- Inform and collaborate with the experimental group to guide future directions.
- Publish results and present at conferences; contribute to peer-reviewed publications.
- Engage in cross-disciplinary collaboration within the group.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A PhD (or soon to be awarded) in quantum physics, quantum engineering, or a related area.
- Demonstrated ability to develop original theory in quantum information processing and quantum error correction.
- Demonstrated ability to apply quantum information theory to practical experimental platforms.
- Ability to conduct independent research with limited supervision.
- Strong publication and conference presentation record relative to opportunity.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work in a diverse team.
This is a full-time, fixed-term contract position for 3 years, offering:
