Job Opportunity: Sustainability Manager

UGL Utilities is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainability Manager to join our team in Melbourne. This office-based role will require frequent site visits.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the development of project sustainability plans, systems and delivery of best practice and innovative outcomes. They will provide strategic project direction, technical advice, leadership, mentoring and training to increase sustainability capability and delivery of the UGL project scope.

Responsibilities:
  • Hold management team to account for project sustainability performance standards.
  • Provide leadership consistent with UGL sustainability management compliance obligations and strategies.
  • Create a culture that encourages innovation and adoption of best practice sustainability initiatives.
  • Provide technical advice, coaching and mentoring to senior management personnel.
  • Contribute to the achievement of UGL & Project strategic objectives, targets, and reporting.

The ideal candidate will possess a tertiary qualification or relevant degree in Sustainability, Architecture, Engineering or Science, as well as post graduate qualification in Sustainability. They will also have a proven track record of experience (5+ years) managing sustainability within the infrastructure industry.
